Registration is now open!  Since there are a limited number of rooms, we encourage you to register as soon as possible to reserve your space.  Registration will close on Friday, September 3rd.  There is a registration fee that will help offset the costs for the lodging and food that Bethany Camp is providing.   Please check the details below.  When you register, you will receive an email confirmation with payment information.

Four delicious meals will be provided by the Bethany Camp Staff.  These meals include: dinner on Friday and breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday. The cost for the meals is included in your registration fee.

 

Bethany Camp offers over 30 rooms with beds for up to 8 people.   These rooms each have a private bathroom. For larger families there are some adjoining rooms available.  You will need to bring your own sheets, pillows, and blankets.   If you have a camper, there are a few campsites available as well.  Lodging is included in the registration price. $40/person or $200 maximum for family.  Children 4 and under are free. This cost includes four delicious meals, overnight lodging, fellowship, family fun activities, and encouraging teaching.  While we encourage everyone to come for the entire event, there is a Saturday only price of $25/person and a Friday/Saturday (no over-night lodging) price of $30/person.  After you register, you will receive an email confirmation with payment details.

Speakers

Pastor-Leary

Kevin Leary

 Kevin serves as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Hamburg.  He graduated from Baptist Bible College of Clark Summit, PA in 1993, and completed his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Piedmont Graduate School in 2012.
He and his wife, Juliana were married in 1996 and the Lord has blessed their home with ten children.  They have a passion for encouraging families to build their lives on the Word of God.  Kevin and Julie have been homeschooling their children for twenty-four years. They live in Western New York and enjoy hiking, canoeing, and gardening together. 

 

Duke Johnston

 Duke Johnston and his family are members of First Baptist Church of Hamburg. He and his wife, Heike, have been married almost 12 years. He has three young children from two to eight years of age. Duke moved with his family to Hamburg, NY, from South Florida, about five years ago. He is active in the church in various ways and roles. Duke enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and teaching. 

 

Phil Riggs

Phil was one of five boys growing up and now has two sons and four grandsons all living in Hamburg, NY.  Phil and his wife Barb give praise and thanks to God for forty-seven years of marriage. 

Phil has served as a deacon at First Baptist Church of Hamburg several years with a focus on people, facilities and music. From time to time he teaches or leads Sunday School, special focus classes, building trade skills, and has a favorite ministry that involves working with younger musicians.

His favorite Book in the Bible is Philippians, favorite Biblical characters are Steven, Philip, Dorcas and Barnabas and favorite verse is Philippians 2:2-3.

Phil is currently employed by an economic development agency in Buffalo, NY as a project and facility manager. He oversees facilities, railroad improvement projects and the development of a zero-energy building for manufacturing.

Cory Messerschmidt

Cory was raised in a Christian home and saved at a young age by the grace of God. He graduated from Houghton College in 2021 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Accounting. He has served as a Pastoral Intern at First Baptist Church since May of 2021. 

When he has free time, he enjoys reading, playing a round of golf, or spending time with friends and family.

 

Brian Ide

Brian started with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) as a Treasurer in Florida in 2012. After responding to God’s call, he made the move to Western New York from central Florida to start a CEF chapter in Erie County New York. Brian has been serving as a missionary Director for Child Evangelism Fellowship in the Buffalo Area for over six years. The Lord has used him to build a ministry reaching children with After School Good News Clubs in public school reaching children with the Gospel. 

Brian has earned a master’s degree in ministry in May 2021. He also has a bachelor’s degree in accounting. 

 

Thomas Hamblen

Thomas was raised in a Christian home, and he was saved at young age. He graduated from Word of Life Bible Institute in 2017. Additionally, he acquired his undergraduate degree and a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Development from Cairn University in May 2021. He has served as Pastoral Intern at First Baptist Church since May 2021. 

In his free time, he loves the outdoors, sports, and playing guitar. Whatever you do, don’t give him Mountain Dew.
