Due to COVID, our service times have changed to a 10:30 a.m. in-person & live-streamed Sunday service, a Zoom Sunday School class at 6 p.m., and an in-person & Zoom Bible study on Wendesdays at 7 p.m. No childcare or nursery is provided. Please contact the church office with any questions!
Teaching is a vital ministry of the church. The early church continued steadfastly in “doctrine” (Acts 2:41). The Great Commission concludes with this command “teaching them to observe to do all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:20). We encourage everyone to faithfully participate in the opportunities to hear God’s Word preached and taught.
Sundays at 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM
What a joy to be taught the Word through both the singing and preaching of the Word. On a typical Sunday Service you will hear one of our pastors preaching an expository message from the Word of God. During the service, parents are welcome to keep their children with them and experience the joy of worshiping together as a family. A nursery is also available during all worship services. During our 11:00 a.m. service, there is a Jr. Church Ministry (age 4 – Grade 1).
Sundays at 9:45 AM
Our Sunday School Ministry also provides biblical teaching in our church. Sunday School is a place to connect with other believers and learn the Word of God. Every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. various classes meet throughout our building. The whole family is encouraged to participate.

L.I.F.E is the name for our Wednesday Night ministry during the school year for teens and adults. The name stands for Learning, Interceding, Fellowship and Equipping. We have a time of singing, Bible study, and small group prayer. This small group ministry is designed to facilitate the discipleship process. Our Bible study often goes along with our Sunday evening series. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Saturdays once a month
On one Saturday morning each month, all men and boys are invited to a time of fellowship, encouragement, and prayer in the fellowship hall. The men interact with the Scriptures as they seek to apply God’s Word to their lives. After the meeting, most of the men usually head out for a time of continued encouragement at breakfast. This ministry has been the catalyst for some men to begin further discipleship opportunities with other men.
There are several opportunities for ladies to receive biblical teaching. Each year our State Fellowship offers a ladies retreat with a main speaker and workshops. Our church usually hosts a ladies event each Spring in which one of our ladies shares a message. There are also Women Bible studies offered at various times throughout the year as well as one on one discipleship opportunities available for our ladies.
An essential ministry in every Christian home is the role of a dad and mom. Therefore, we provide opportunities to train fathers and mothers to fulfill their biblical responsibilities in bringing up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). We believe that Christian parents and specifically fathers are ultimately responsible for the teaching and training of their children. Our desire is that the ministries listed below will be tools parents can use in bringing up their children.
This ministry is for children ages 4 through 1st grade during our morning worship service. It provides Bible teaching and seeks to prepare the children to sit with their families in the regular worship service.
The Awana ministry has three groups: Cubbies (ages 2-5), Sparks (Kindergarten – 2nd grade), and Truth&Trainers (grades 3 – 6). They all meet on Wednesday nights during the school year. Every evening features memorizing God’s Word, singing songs, Bible lessons, and games. If you are interested in having your child participate in this program, contact the church office.
T.E.A.C.H. (Teaching Electives Aiding Christian Households) is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Hamburg providing Christian based electives for students and their families. Families from within and outside the church meet on Thursday afternoons from 12:15 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. during the school year. The three hours allow students to attend 3 different classes. The ministry meets for five six-week sessions throughout the school year, with each session offering new electives.
